               Take a washcloth dampened with cold water and hold it directly over the injured area, using moderate, steady pressure to control the bleeding. If a youngster is involved, a red or black cloth would be nice as it will mask the color of the blood and minimize the emotional stress to all concerned (especially the parent) Roof of my mouth bleeding.
